Welcome to Green and Local...
The ‘Green & Local’ project is based in Sandwich, East Kent.
It is about growing, rearing and making things traditionally and locally.
Green & Local means growing things without chemicals and selling and eating
produce locally – cutting out air and road miles. It’s about
healthy living and being environmentally friendly.
We offer hands-on garden and allotment learning holidays for people interested
in
*Fruit and vegetable growing
*Flowers – borders, cut and wild
*Organic and traditional methods
*Hedgerows
Beginners, improvers and old hands are all very welcome – come and learn,
hands on, or just enjoy the wonderful tranquility of our countryside location.
New projects will include keeping pigs and bees; wildlife pond and polytunnel growing. There is scope for everyone to get involved, with a range of accommodation options and length of stay to suit all tastes and ages. Be part of it – an activity holiday or gardening learning holiday to suit your personal needs.
