Hands on Gardening Learning Holidays

Hands on learning holidays are designed to be fun as well as educational. The main attraction may be gardening or allotmenting teaching and learning, or simply getting away from it all and enjoying the fresh air, a tranquil environment and gentle activity.

East Kent is surrounded by wonderful countryside, and many places of historical interest. There is an abundance of things to do and places to visit as well as a wide choice of traditional pubs and eating places.

We offer two to five nights in self catering or bed and breakfast accommodation. There is plenty to do on the field and in the polytunnel every month of the year. However, for pleasure as well as practical learning the months of April to September are recommended.

Small groups of four to eight people will be catered for so that hands-on tuition is one to one and your learning holiday will be fruitful.

Lunch will be part of the package, made up as far as possible from our own Green & Local produce. Weather permitting it will be taken outdoors. A glass of local wine from the nearby Barnsole vineyard will be an option to fruit juice.

As many or as few hours practical work each day will be accommodated to suit. For some people a half day hands on and the other half day exploring East Kent will be attractive. Others may wish to work longer and harder - this will not be discouraged!

Prices range from £50 to £80 per person per day depending on size of party and choice of accommodation and catering.
